See it again: NEVER.Own it: Hahaha. That’s a good one.Recommend it to: Any female that believes these books are sweet and enchanting. Diluted…sorry did I type that out?

I love you Edward.
I love you Bella.
Shut up, she loves me. I smell it with my doggy sense.
Please she can’t love a dog, that’s bestially.
And what is loving a vampire? Necrophilia?
Take that back, I’m polite and overly nice.
Hell no, I’m more male than you and all your dead sparkly parts.
Boys, boys, boys please keep fighting over me. It makes me feel wanted, even if I don’t smile more.
See, she loves me!
No, she loves me!
It continues for 2+ hours just like that, but with a bit of fighting that bores and a flood saccharine lines that gives everyone ear cavities.
-Twilight: Eclipse

The only reason New Moon is better is because Jacob tells Bella to stay in the truck. His brutish (in comparison to Edward’s personality) behavior made for an awesome scene. Eclipse is the same old same old with the “Omg I love Edward, but come here Jacob and let me tease you” and then a bit of boring fighting and you got yourself Twilight: Eclipse. What are these books about? It can’t possibly have an actual story. It’s too much about who’s she going to open herself up to next and who she’s going to kiss and touch. It’s like a sex addict. It reminds me a lot of Bill Cosby’s“The Apple” “Come here, come here, no go away, go away.” Her mentality is like I have to try out the merchandise before I pick who is best fit for me. She tried Edward and liked him, but she had to make sure she disliked Jacob first.

Bella’s back and forth between Edward and Jacob is obnoxious. The entire series seems to stem from her indecision and it, yes, bothers me. She needs to have a female villain that tries to take one of the boys to show her how it feels, to make her appreciate what she has. Edward is so weak and spineless. Why does someone have to show such traits just to be respectful and treat women equally? Jacob is aggressive and not bland, more male and normal and less fictional and not a lie.

The best part of Twilight: Eclipse has to be the back-stories. They added a bit of personality to the characters. Told why Jasper (Jackson Rathbone ) stands as if he’s in the military. I liked that aspect. That gave the film more credit for existing.

Jackson Rathbone had a bigger role in Twilight: Eclipse than in Airbenderand that’s weird considering he’s a main character in Airbender and not inEclipse.

The close emotional mucky scenes between Bella and Edward are nothing more than bleh. I expected as much, but I hoped for more.

I don’t understand why Jacob had a small mustache throughout the movie. It scared me. He was a bit creepy for having an almost but not quite mustache. He would not look good with one. To add to the creepy Jacob had to mention imprinting. "You'd know if I imprinted you." What? That's the grosses thing Jacob's ever said. I was very disappointed.

If they ever want to make Twilight, the film or book, more macho all they have to do is add a pinch of zombies. Those would rule the film. MaybeSeth Grahame-Smith could be the writer to do it. I think that would out sale the original. I know, wishful thinking.

Eclipse is a film I’ll never see again and never want to see again. The fight scenes were dull and the vampires didn’t sparkle. It’s like only Edward gets to sparkle. How stupid is that? I think the books and movies should be re-titled to Bella’s Indecision because she can’t decide who to pick for 2,000+ pages and in movies it’s 6+ hours. Are you ready for a whirlwind of yes, no and maybe so? Well then, you’re ready to step into Bella’s horrendous world that totally pictures males in the most unrealistic way possible. That males are only on this planet to fight over non-smiling (though she technically did smile more in this film than the previous two and hardly bit her lip), moody females that need to have two males want them or their life sucks…literally. Speaking of sucking, Eclipse does nothing but suck. Suck the fun, the smart, and the entertaining out of watching movies. Yay.

"DESPICABLE ME" EXCITING

Genres: Comedy, Kids/Family and AnimationRunning Time: 1 hr. 28 min.Release Date: July 9th, 2010 (wide)MPAA Rating: PG for rude humor and mild action.Distributors: Universal Pictures

Directed by: Chris Renaud, Pierre Coffin

JJ Rating: B+

See It Again: Maybe.Own it: No thanks.Recommend it to: those that enjoy being entertained by animation. It’s good enough for that and it has likable characters.

Gru (Steve Carell) wants to be the bestest super-villain ever! BUT…Vector (Jason Segel), a once sidekick, stands in his way of achieving such glory! Then Gru adopts three little girls just to use them to get into Vector’s home to steal back what was stolen from him in order to achieve such glory! However, they alter him in ways he hadn’t thought possible for a villain of his caliber. Despicable Me.

Steve Carell was perfect to play Gru. I fell into the story and followed along without even thinking of who voiced Gru. He had his own distinct voice that wasn’t Carell’s. I like when the voice is the character’s and not the actor’s. There’s a weird thing, though, with Toy Story that Woody and Buzz sound just like the actor’s who depict them, but the way they use their voice to embody the character allows for a similar mentality. Liken to how they are different characters in movies, they don’t sound the same because of how they use their voice, even though you can recognize them; which is different with Brad Pitt and his new movie Megamind. Watching that trailer, I hear Brad Pitt and that’s it. Maybe it’ll be different when the film comes out, but his voice is just his voice—no added character. It bugs me. Everyone in Despicable Me did an awesome job with their voices. Russell Brand as the old, old, old, old man Dr. Nefario was fantastic. Will Arnett, Rob Hubel, Jason Segel, Julie Andrews all added to the consonance of the film’s projection. I got lost in the story forgetting the voices I knew.

Ah, the Minions were hilarious. They’re so quirky and bizarre that if you watch one side you’ll miss something a certain Minion does on the other. Their clever usage was maximized perfectly, definitely the best part of the film. There’s a lot of little parts were it would be fine without them, but with them they enhance Despicable Me, unique characters do that.

Despicable Me has a level of cuteness because of the three little girls. Each one having their own personality just like three friends do in TV shows or in other movies: the Smart One, the Tough One and the Sweet One. Their use in the story was to simply wear Gru down and make him into mushy mush. As predictable as that was from the onset, the charm wasn’t lost on me. The adorable scenes toward the end flowed nicely and I didn’t feel shoved into caring.

Despicable Me’s main problem is it doesn’t have the Pixar touch. There’s no powerful caring going on. The difference between Pixar and Universal is that Pixar is the cool, poet guy who can make you laugh, swoon and cry without making you feel like a loser. Universal is like the guy that makes you laugh because of his fart jokes and silly nature, but makes you feel awkward when he turns serious and tries to get you to care about his pain. Universal continues to try to nestle in to that same spot in the heart that Pixar already owned since 1995, but they continue to miss the mark just like other animation studios. Normally the king of the hill is easy to win if you continue to try, but Pixar has dug in their heels and will not budge, nor will they share the spot. They continue to reign supreme, though Universal did move up a notch with Despicable Me and their adorably evil creation Gru.

MOHANLAL WITH BIG B IN KANDAHAR

ORU NAAL VARUM MOVIE REVIEWS

Mohanlal - Sreenivasan's 'Oru Naal Varum' released yesterday and getting good response from the audience.

The magic of the duo is repeating in this movie also. But somewhere the old combination is missing, though they have done an excellent job.

Gopikrishnan (Sreenivasan) is an Assistant Town Planning Officer, who misuses his powers, bends rules on receiving bribes and never cares about the poor. He has great dreams about his daughter and is saving money to get a seat for her admission to a medical college.

Sukumaran (Mohanlal) approaches Gopikrishnan for approval to build a house. The two were part of a scuffle earlier and the Town Planner makes life hell for the hapless Sukumaran. Now, we can't reveal further about the storyline as there are some suspense elements involved here.

Some interesting twist and turns and descent script makes the film a good one.  Mohanlal and Sreenivasan handled their roles very well and we can watch a healthy acting competition with these acting legends.

'Oru Naal Varum' handles the current issue and the director T K Rajeev Kumar and team has almost succeeded in their attempt to make it reachable to the audience.

So go for the movie, definitely you will have a great two and half hour to enjoy.oru naal varum review
